Why I participate in Alpe d'HuZes?
As scientist, I am dedicated to understanding how our immune cells protect us and how we can use them to fight cancer. This is only possible with a strong connection with the society for awareness and financial support.
That’s why I’m swapping my lab coat for hiking shoes and taking part in the Alpe d’HuZes cancer fundraiser. Every step up the mountain is like the progress we make in cancer research—step by step, difficult, but always moving forward. Just like me, YOU can also speed up discoveries and help change the lives of cancer patients. Will you support me and climb with me?
Porque é que vou subir o Alpe d'HuZes?
Como cientista, dedico a minha carreira a perceber como é que o nosso sistema imune nos protege todos os dias e como é que o podemos utilizar em nosso favor para combater o cancro. Isto só é possível com o envolvimento da nossa sociedade, quer sensibilizando para esta terrível doença, quer apoiando a ciência financeiramente.
Por isso, em Junho vou trocar a minha bata de laboratório, por calçado de caminhada e subir o Alpe d’HuZes para angariar fundos para a investigação contra o cancro. Cada passo montanha acima representa o nosso progresso na investigação contra o cancro —um dia de cada vez, desafiante, mas sempre a avançar.
Assim como eu, TU também pode acelerar o desenvolvimento científico e ajudar a mudar a vida dos doentes com cancro. Junta-te a mim nesta aventura!!
