Why I participate in Alpe d'HuZes?
I’ve decided to take on the Alpe d’HuZes challenge, not just as a personal test of resilience, but as a way to contribute to a cause that touches countless lives. I’ve always enjoyed pushing my limits, sometimes a bit too much, and while I’ve faced my share of stumbles along the way, I am deeply grateful for the health I’ve been blessed with.
Not everyone is so fortunate. Cancer is a disease that knows no boundaries, and sadly, it has affected some of the people closest to me—family members, friends, and (ex) colleagues. On the day of the climb, I will light a candle for them and carry their stories in my heart with every breath I take. (Which will probably be quite a lot)
This effort is my way of standing with those fighting cancer and their loved ones, of doing what I can to support groundbreaking research. While my contribution may be small, I believe that together, we can create an impact big enough to bring a cancer-free world a bit closer to reality.
