Why I participate in Alpe d'HuZes?

Many of us have experienced the heartbreaking moment of saying goodbye to someone who lost their battle with cancer. While this awareness is important, it often comes too late. We need to commit ourselves to making that battle less daunting, improving the chances of success, and, if a cure isn’t possible, making life with cancer more bearable. The Alpe d'HuZes Foundation dedicates all its funds exclusively to research aimed at these goals, relying entirely on volunteers.

My goal is to raise as much money as possible for the Dutch Cancer Society through the Alpe d'HuZes Foundation by successfully climbing this mountain. I am fully committed to taking on this climb multiple times with my mountainbike.

Velen van ons hebben het hartverscheurende moment meegemaakt om afscheid te nemen van iemand die zijn strijd tegen kanker heeft verloren. Hoewel dit besef belangrijk is, komt het vaak te laat. We moeten ons inzetten om die strijd minder ontmoedigend te maken, de kans op succes te vergroten en, als genezing niet mogelijk is, het leven met kanker draaglijker te maken. Stichting Alpe d'HuZes besteedt al haar fondsen uitsluitend aan onderzoek dat op deze doelen is gericht en is volledig afhankelijk van vrijwilligers.

Mijn doel is om via Stichting Alpe d'HuZes zoveel mogelijk geld op te halen voor KWF Kankerbestrijding door deze berg succesvol te beklimmen. Ik ben volledig toegewijd om deze klim meerdere keren met mijn mountainbike te ondernemen.
